At DEEDS, we understand the value of special education and the important role it plays in nurturing disadvantaged lives. All our courses are taught in the language of the deaf that is the Indian Sign Language. So, from education to imparting vocational training, leading to job placement, we work towards empowering the deaf citizens of India. We truly believe that their successes are ours.

Technology has helped us communicate better with the Deaf!
DEEDS always chooses to move ahead with time as we recognize the advantages technology has to offer. Over 6 years ago we started investing in smart boards which has been an extremely useful tool for us.
During the pandemic, as schools had to shut down, we started online sessions with our students to continue their education & development. The challenge initially was that most students could not afford individual devices and internet service.
We immediately organized a fundraiser to collect funds to purchase 100 tablets and some computers for our teachers. With the help of many donors, we were able to continue our work throughout the pandemic.
Our teachers knew that engaging students for long hours would be challenging, hence they also incorporated learning tools such as podcasts, videos, worksheets, games, quizzes, and storylines so as to engage the students better.
