DEEDS has impacted over 17,700 lives in the last two decades. We believe that ‘if you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime’. We envision moving the deaf beyond surviving to thriving on their own. All our efforts are focused on giving the deaf what they need to thrive through education and skills to ensure a sustainable livelihood. Deeds is built on one clear belief,

The seeds of good ‘DEEDS’ by laying the foundation of Bajaj Institute of Learning- a special school for the Deaf in Dehradun.

DEEDS Public Charitable was officially registered under charity commissioner in Mumbai as an umbrella organization to help the deaf in India.

  • Setting up of Audio Diagnostic center at Dehradun
  • DEEDS organized various events and workshops to raise awareness and funds.

  • A watch strapping unit in Dehradun in collaboration with Titan.

  • DEEDS set up its own DEEDS Tailoring Unit for Deaf Women.
  • DEEDS specially designed a quiz competition for the deaf called ‘The Quest’ whose participants were deaf schools all around Mumbai.
  • Deaf Students participated in art workshop with Baz Lurhmann, Director of ‘The Great Gatsby’ movie, and Vincent Fantauzzo, an award-winning Australian artist.

DEEDS new Learning and Resource Centre was inaugurated in February. The proposed new centre will have 350 – 375 students attending their Junior and Degree College and various vocational and skill development courses monthly.
