Bajaj Institute of learning (BIL)

Bajaj Institute of learning (BIL),
school and hostel for the Deaf

The school in Dehradun provides free education to deaf children, between 4 to 18 years, from Pre-School to Class XII. It consists of:

  • A hostel for boys from across India (we are planning to build a hostel for girls soon)
  • Counselling and providing employment support
  • A diagnostic centre for hearing assessment and therapy by trained audiologists
  • The National Institute of Open Schooling for academic and vocational courses
  • Co-curricular and extracurricular activities, including sports
  • A new bakery course
  • It is a matter of immense satisfaction for us that our hard work and dedication at this institute have not gone unnoticed. Over the years, BIL has won numerous awards: (list awards – Puneet Basur), but the greatest source of satisfaction, no doubt, is when we our students excel. Some of our students even go on to become teachers for deaf so they can pass on their knowledge to help others. Take a look at the story of Rahul Jain who is one such student!
