Sajal’s Story: A world of Culinary opened up for Sajal post his catering course at the Deeds Catering Course Program
A chef by profession, working at a five star hotel restaurant, Sajal’s journey hasn’t been easy. Detected with Profound hearing loss at an early age when most children learn to read and write, devastated and frightened his parents. But they didnt accept defeat and loose hope. His mother became his pillar and dedicated all her time looking after his educational and medical needs. By the time Sajal cleared his Senior Secondary Board, he clearly showed his interest towards cooking and enrolled for the yearly Deeds Catering course which he saw online. His dedication and hardwork paid off when he cleared his Catering examination with distinction. Through Deeds Placement Team Sajal was recruited by Sahara Star as a trainee. Today Sajal, a full time employee with Sahara Star, is a happy and a confident chef, who commutes to wok independently from Navi Mumbai.
