10th pass Vijay a father of two lives with eight members of his family in Airoli. Belonging to the lower income group, his parents’ most earnings go into running the day to day household expenses. With little or no savings at all, Vijay wanted to help support his parents and his family. Vijay is the only member in his family with a hearing impairment. Through one of his friends, Sophia’s Post, Vijay learnt about DEEDS Hospitality, Retail and Housekeeping course (HRH) which he decided to enrol. Vijay’s experience with DEEDS HRH was positive as it gave him the much needed push in his career growth. Post completion of the HRH course, DEEDS Placement Cell helped him secure a job in D’Mart Airoli Branch. Working at D’Mart has not only made Vijay more financially secure but also he is able to save a larger part of his earnings for his children’s future education. Vijay has spoken to many of his friends about DEEDS and their training programmes and how it helped him get a secure job. Today Vijay is happy and grateful to his teacher at the DEEDS HRH program centre.
